My vision is to provide customers with a marketplace for unique textiles and gift items. Retailers with a fixed store location often have a difficult time carrying unusual products, so I have created a web based shopping experience to broaden my market, and share my favorite products with a larger audience.
One World Fabrics is an online-only store specializing in Asian Natural Color fabrics (Taupe), as well as Sashiko fabrics and supplies. We also have the largest selection of M & S Textiles brand Australian Aboriginal design fabrics on the internet - both yardage and pre-cut collections.
My background: Not a lifelong sewer, I began in 1999 making very traditional quilts, but learned quickly, and within a year I was designing my own patterns of all styles. In 2002, I opened a quilting supply store, Pioneer Quilts, in Damascus Oregon, and from 2007-2012 ran a successful longarm machine quilting business. I started One World Fabrics in 2012.
My tastes and interests in sewing have broadened over the years, and I now explore making art quilts, as well as traditional designs. My undergraduate education includes Cultural Anthropology and Art. I also have a masters degree in Business. I currently live near Portland, Oregon with my husband, David, our dog, Raven, and cat, Chopper.
I strive to make your shopping experience on this site safe, convenient, fun, and enjoyable. Should you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please drop me an email Steven@OneWorldFabrics.com or leave comments on my blog.
