About One World Fabrics

My vision is to provide customers with a marketplace for unique textiles and gift items. Retailers with a fixed store location often have a difficult time carrying unusual products. Although NW Oregon has a healthy number of fabric shoppers, the majority of these are largely interested in mainstream products from the big name fabric houses. So, to trade the merchandise I wanted, I have created an online shopping experience in order to broaden my market and share my favorite products with a larger audience.

My background: Not a lifelong sewer, I began in 1999 making very traditional quilts, but learned quickly, and within a year I was designing my own patterns of all styles. In 2002, I opened a quilting supply store, and now own a successful  longarm machine quilting business, design patterns, and teach. I have branched out, as many quilters do, into making art quilts as well as traditional designs. My undergraduate education includes Cultural Anthropology and Art. I also have a masters degree in Business. I currently live near Portland, Oregon.

I strive to make your shopping experience on this site safe, convenient, fun, and enjoyable. Should you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please drop me an email Steven@OneWorldFabrics.com or leave comments on my blog.
